Ordering and Paying
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept secure payment through Paypal. When ordering, you'll be directed to the PayPal site for payment. Once payment is complete, you'll be redirected to VOTM Perfume to complete your order.
Will I need to pay sales tax?
We are required to collect an 8.875% sales tax on New York State orders.
Fragrance
What is the difference between perfume and cologne?
The difference between perfume and cologne is the amount or concentration of oils in the fragrance. Typically, VOTM perfume contains anywhere from 10-15% essential oils, where our cologne contains a concentration of around 5-10% of essential oils. Perfume will last longer on the skin due to the higher concentration of essential oils.
Why is the product I received not the same color as the last time I ordered/what I see on the website?
Due to fluctuations in the composition and sourcing of natural ingredients, occasionally our products have a slightly different coloration from batch to batch. This is no way effects the quality of the product, but reflects on the variations of the natural ingredients we use.
What kind ofingredients do you use in your fragrances?
All of our fragrances are alcohol-based. We use as many natural and/or organic ingredients as possible, but recognize that occasionally there is a trade-off between sourcing natural, yet unsustainable materials and may substitute "synthetic" materials in a composition instead.
Do you test on animals/use animal-based ingredients in your fragrances?
We do not test on animals and we never use animal-based ingredients in any of our products.
Can I purchase samples?
We encourage you to purchase samples before purchasing larger sizes to see if our fragrances are a good "fit" for you!
Where should I store my perfume?
The best place to store perfume is away from light and heat; it's best not to keep fragrances on a nightstand, window sill, or in the bathroom.

Where do you make your fragrances?
All of our fragrances are made in our turn-of-the-century studio in Brooklyn, New York.
Can I visit your studio?
At this time we are not scheduling any studio visits. We'll let you know if we are able to accommodate visitors in the future!
